Bixby International Welcomes Greg Santini as the Company's New Vice President of Operations
Bixby International is very pleased to announce that Greg Santini has joined the company as the new Vice President of Operations at the company's headquarters in Newburyport, MA. In his new role, Greg will lead the Operations division, and he will report to Bixby's President and CEO, Dan Rocconi.
Greg brings more than 20 years of manufacturing experience to his new role, with a specific focus on continuously improving the manufacturing process as well as making all manufacturing procedures as lean and streamlined as possible. Greg joined Bixby in September and one of his primary goals in the next six months will be to strengthen the team environment in the Operations division, and to drive improvements that reduce costs and minimize waste.
"On behalf of all the executives, I'm very pleased to welcome Greg Santini to the Bixby team," said Dan Rocconi, President and CEO. "Greg's breadth of experience, his track record of streamlining manufacturing processes, and his hands-on approach to the job make him a great fit for this role. I look forward to working with Greg to continually improve our manufacturing capabilities."
Greg held previous positions in operations executive management at WS Packaging Group, Inc., Moore Wallace (an RR Donnelley Company), and Lockheed Martin's Space Systems Division. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University. Greg said when he researched the company during the interview process, he was excited about the prospect of working in the tight-knit, team-oriented environment that Bixby offers.
"I wanted to move away from working for major corporations and to be part of a smaller, family-oriented operation," Greg said. "I like that Bixby is a very employee-focused company and this role gives me the opportunity to be an integral part of building upon what is already a great organization."
Greg added that he will not bring pre-conceived notions to his role because, in his words, in his previous experience he has seen "the failure of the I know better approach" when a new executive joined a company. With this in mind, he said his focus in the first 30 to 60 days of his tenure will be to learn as much about Bixby's operations as he can, and to work with the leadership team to create "a world-class manufacturing operation."
On a personal note, when he's not working Greg enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, skiing, and working on home improvement projects.
